More About the North Coast Region of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa
The KwaZulu Natal's North Coast stretches from the Umdloti River to the Tugela region and is known for its magnificent stretches of endless beaches and rolling fields of sugar cane. The relatively clear and shallow waters of the North Coast often attract dolphins who swim close to shore in order to feed. Indian Ocean bottlenose dolphins can be seen frolicking here all year round.

Many of the first Indian immigrants settled here and the markets, mosques and temples give an authentic Eastern flavour to KwaZulu Natal's North Coast. The North Coast offers excellent fishing and diving spots as well as scenic golf courses. Surfing, sunbathing and swimming are popular past times for the visitors and locals of the North Coast.
