Kempton Park in the East Rand Region of Gauteng, South Africa
Kempton Park is situated in the East Rand region of the Gauteng province of South Africa. Kempton Park is located north-east of Johannesburg and south of Pretoria and is part of the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality. Kempton Park has 6 Major High-schools; Hoërskool Jeugland, Kempton Hoër (Kempton High), Rhodesfield high school , Birchleigh Hoër, Norkem Park High, Sir Pierre van Ryneveld. Kempton Park has a large Coal power plant named Kelvin power station.

Kempton Park was established in 1903 when Karl Wolff sub-divided a portion of his Zuurfontein farm into residential stands and named the new village Kempten after the Bavarian town of his birth. Kempton Park was declared a City in 1992 consisiting of the following suburbs: Birchleigh, Kempton Park West, Edleen, Van Riebeek Park, Glen Marais, Allen Grove, Nimrod Park, Rhodesfield, Bonaero Park, Terenure, Esther Park, Aston Manor, Spartan, Croyden
