Gauteng Conference Centre is situated in the Woodmead suburb of Sandton. Regarded by many as the new financial centre of South Africa Sandton is Johannesburg's premier business centre making it the ideal place to have your business conference or corporate event. Over especially the last 15 years, much of the financial focus of Johannesburg has shifted from the Central Business District of Johannesburg to Sandton.

Sandton is situated in the northern part of the Greater Johannesburg Metropolitan Area of South Africa's Gauteng Province. The name Sandton is derived from a combination of two suburbs, Sandown and Bryanston.
